The people of Haiti have survived hundreds of years of abuse and turmoil. Most Haitians are descendants of slaves brought from Africa by French and Spanish slave ships. For many years, the slaves submitted to unimaginable atrocities. The slaves worked themselves to death in order to make Haiti the richest colony of France. Finally, they revolted, declaring their independence from France. Though they won their independence through hard fought battles, they did not have true freedom. Instead, they traded the dominion of France for the iron rule of Haitian dictators. Haiti has been plagued by a series of leaders who have destroyed the hopes of their people.
To add to the misery of the Haitian people, their founding fathers made the severe mistake of building their country upon pagan idolatry. Haiti was birthed not in the worship of the true God, but upon the worship of devils. The Haitian people have reaped two hundred years of sorrow as a result. Only in recent years have the Haitian people begun to reject the decision made by those founding fathers.
Our mission is giving hope to these people through evangelism, church building, and education. We are spreading the message of Biblical Holiness throughout the Central Plateau of Haiti. With 31 churches and pioneer works and 2,000 students, we have a great opportunity to reach many souls for Jesus. Jesus said that if He was lifted up, He would draw all men unto Himself. We are endeavoring to lift up Jesus to the Haitian people.
